My Dearest Babe,
Through all the years, the good times, the hard times, you were always there to support me, encourage me and give me the strength to carry on. I never fully realized the hardships I placed upon you by accepting new positions in my career that resulted in moving all over the state. Away from your family and friends, you had to start all over again with new friends and strange surroundings. But still, you encouraged me to go on.. I thank you.
You are the glue that made us a family and the inspiration that made us achieve. For all the times we laughed together, for all the times we cried together, for all the times you held me when I needed to be held, for all the times you nursed me when I was down, for the wonderful job you did in raising our four beautiful children, I thank you.
It seems, over time, every man starts to take things for granted and falls short in telling his wife how much he loves her, and I am guilty of that myself. But for all the times I failed to say I love you, know that my heart burned with a love that has no equal..
Well here we are again... back where we started, just you and me... It seems strange, after all these years, having a house this quiet.. Now, as we look forward to the additions in the next generation, I would like to take this opportunity to say some things that were probably not said often enough, or were overlooked completely.
